The Process
We will spend sufficient time talking together to ensure your custom-planned itinerary proposal has all the elements of a successful and rewarding safari, fine-tuned to your particular preferences and needs. You may be just one couple traveling, or honeymooners, or a family of five, perhaps three or more couples who like to travel together, a Three Generations Family Safari of quite different ages, Alumni friends…. frankly anyone who seeks a truly authentic, amazing ‘personalized’ African safari experience. Andrew is personally on hand to advise and assist, every step of the way, 7 days a week… and you can never have too many questions! Incidentally, although the word Consultants features in our company name, no charge is made for consultations. Also, please understand that a custom-planned safari is not as costly as you might think!
Fine-Tuning Your Arrangements
Once the itinerary and arrangements are agreed, we can discuss airlines, routings and schedules. You then receive an Invoice and Safari Registration Form, to be completed and returned together with a bank wire-transfer payment for the required deposit amount (30% of the safari cost) in U.S. Dollars, which is then covered with cancellation travel insurance through AIG Travel Guard, as is the final payment, which is also made via bank wire-transfer, 70 days prior to departure. Upon receipt of the deposit payment and completed Safari Registration Form, initial documentation is sent to you which includes background information, suggestions for clothing, luggage, photography, books to read, wildlife notes, advice on gratuities, money, gratuities and a host of other topics.
Departing on your African safari adventure...
Eight weeks before you depart, you will receive further safari advice and information, with the detailed final documentation arriving three weeks prior to your departure. Our colleagues in Africa take very good care of you throughout your trip, from the time you arrive at the airport in Africa until you are back at the airport again for your homeward flight. Meanwhile while you are on safari, Andrew is always available for questions (and to see your photos: e.g. sent via WhatsApp) via cell, text, WhatsApp and email, 7 days a week.
